The Importance of Prevalence for Lusciousmaniasis
Worldwide over 4.8 million people are living with lushmaniasis, and that's all forms. 90% of the cases occur in a few countries including India, Bangladesh, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Brazil. The distribution is likely changing due to climate change. There is a lot of good evidence to suggest that at least from the perspective of people being able to theoretically mount a protective immune response we should be developing a vaccine.
