If you're a good basian reasoner, that's exactly what you should do. And so a certain base rates we consider to be a kind of immoral to think about. Now n as telo emphasizes, this is not completely irrational. Because in our social lives, we pick our friends and our allies, not just by what they do, but by who they are. We want to peer into their soul and know what they're capable of, not just what they've done so far
