The Cumeon in Greek Mythology

The Cumeon is from Greek mythology. She was a major figure in the Aenead and therefore Roman mythology as the person who led Aeneus into the underworld. The Cumeon was granted a long but mortal life of a thousand years by Apollo, but she was not granted youth along with that life. Her curse is that she is able to live for this extended period, but she has to suffer the effects of age while doing it.
