But then there's also the immense creative impulse that comes from that where people actually build worlds where these are possibilities. These are two very different things and I think you get something like 1984. The difference between what survives which is that element of let's all imagine a really bad totalitarian state with no regard for the truth. And it makes you think, how can I be part of this or not? How can I stop this or how can I create this?"
