The Importance of Deep Learning Architectures

The idea of deep learning is that basically we have all those data and we want a learning system to be able to interpret or understand all those data. And for much traditional machine learning approaches, we typically do this by hand engineering certain features. But rather than hand engineering those features, we try to come up with those architectures of neural networks, which are very expressive as models.
