The Importance of Owning Your Image

In the early 1930s, Technicolor developed a method of combining three negatives of the primary colors. By 1932, the process had not been perfected for live-action photography, but it could be applied to cartoons. Walt used his brother's reluctance to evoke a concession from Technicolor. The comedian proved to be as much of a fan of Disney cartoons as Walt was of Chaplin's comedies.
