The Influence of Yellow Fever on the Early United States

Lazarito was the first professional architect in the United States. He also served as the architect of the replacement Capitol building after British troops destroyed it in 1814. The two diseases treated most commonly at the Lazarito Hospital were yellow fever and typhus.
