Android Editing on Android Phones
The toolkit started with text view and edit text was just an... Oh, I can tell you. It was we had to ship. Implementation is hidden inside text view with some sort of a Boolean flag. The fun part is that button also extends text view. My favorite. I even did that for a talk where I made the button editable, which is it real silly? That's what everybody wants in their UI toolkit, I think.
