Germanic Languages Do V2
In Germanic languages, it's very strange where the verb doesn't want to move. So you'll say something like I go to the movies and in English that would be "I go to the store" But in German, you have to say tomorrow go I to the movies. The verb just sits there like somebody nailed it down. These people have Germanic style V2 more than we do. We now just have it basically in that silly formulation in fiction. And so we're going to have to do a seventh volume said Harry Potter or something like that. That's all we've got.
