The Unannounced Arrival of Jesus

The parable is highlighting the sudden nature of Jesus' return. There is no last minute heads up so that then the servants can start taking him serious and get invested. Paul would say in 1 Thessalonians, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
