You've been an advocate of science fiction and fantasy being just as much literature as realist or mimetic fiction or memoir. At one time you even said fake realism is the escapism of our time which I think is such a great quote. But could you walk us through some of the lineage for fantasy? You'd gone back to the Mahabharata and the Beowulf and. Oh just I was kind of sorry saying that possibly the oldest form of literature is fantastic. It begins in myths and legends and hero stories. Some are real but they tend to get imagined to find more and more and become fantastic.
