Traits and Filters for Weed Management
A trait is just a characteristic that one has so in biology we often talk about traits that are genetic traits like for example in humans eye color and And in weeds it could be a trait like how many seeds it produces or how quickly it grows. What traits something has can really impact how well it passes through or Fails to pass through a biological filter. So drought adaptation is a Adaptations that allow a plant to survive drought are examples of traits that might help them pass through the filter That I just gave as an example. Species that have underground storage propagules or a bud bank have a trait that allows them to survive winter which is a Filter that happens in our neck of the woods.
