i wonder if you had any thoughts about that. The book doesn't really have a whole lot to say about vernacular medicine or local medical traditions. It is very much interested in the tradition of bio medicine, western bio medicine and bacteriology. Every chapter has an element of debate where aino colonial subjects take up the language of micro biology for their own purposes. So it is very attentive to the local context, but it's not looking at these other medical traditions.
