Can Sugar Change Your Cravings?
Sugar has been shown to have a negative impact on the gut microbiome. If we only have a lot of added sugar but not a lot of fiber in our diets, this can lead to having certain bacteria strains which are maybe not so beneficial for our gut microbiota. The idea that these absolutely tiny microbes down there in your gut might be influencing the food choices we make is quite spooky and exciting at the same time.
