The Dangers of Following Green Policy for the Sake of It

William Hague: We need to conserve our environment and look after it for future generations. But we're obsessed with reducing our own emissions, which only make up 1% of the overall world's emissions. Even if we were to completely eliminate carbon emissions altogether, it would be a drop in the ocean compared to the problems facing the globe. So I think we just need to be much more realistic about what we're doing and end the kind of ideological focus on net zero when there are many other things we can do that would be better for the long term.
