There were some compromises made. One of the things this does is it guarantees more oil. It definitely opens up this spill to some criticism. But there have been a bunch of different analyses from economic modellers looking at what the benefits the spill delivers versus the cost. And they've been unequivocal that this far outweighs what those fossil fuel projects do, that the climate benefits are considerable.
