Some university workers are unionized. And that's good. But what's happening at most universities, I'm not talking about faculty. I'm talking about the low wage workers,. The university is shifting to subcontracting. So then when whatever wage that the university sets becomes the wages that are set for the entire city or town. If they raise their wages, other employers would have to follow suit in order to keep their labor force.
