The Jerry Sandusky Scandal
The Sandusky case is a classic example of the kind of thing that as human beings were inclined to shrug off. With Sandusky, there were all these kinds of whispers, and he was seen showering with young boys. But what was seen was incredibly vague. Even the doctor who had a legal duty to report jalabias, didn't report it because he was too vague. They defaulted to truth. That's what we do as human beings. There was not an overwhelming amount of evidence in that case. And it is very easy in hindsight, I think, to get on your high horse and say you should have been more careful.
