Cybernetics as Politics

Cybernetics is often accused of being this kind of like, um, you know, science of control or science of command. But it's actually possible to influence and steer within a complex system with other systems that are mutually interacting. And I think in cybernetic writing there is a certain amount of pessimism about the world but also hope for adaptation.
