The Role of Teachers in the Age of AI
The role of teacher has to completely change as a result of chat GPT. Many teachers find that very alarming because it changes their traditional notion of role. I think many of the more pedantic roles, like generating questions and grading answers, are probably going to be taken over by chat TPT or some version of tools built on chat TPT. That's good. It will give them a freedom to do what they really want to do and that is to engage with the students in deep conversations.
