How Do You Measure Intelligence?

Cognitive ability or intelligence is one of the topics we have only briefly covered on our podcast. So I think it would actually be really useful for the listeners if you could give a bit more background about what does it really mean, intelligence or how do you measure intelligence and what does it mean conceptually? In simple terms, intelligence refers to the ability to reason, think and to solve problems.
