Finding Your Values

When we're mobile sing our values in doing things that feel meaningful to us, i think we get the sustained benefit of an uplift. For instance, there's a lot of research that shows that if someone gives you ten dollars, what's going to make you feel better if you spend it on yourself? And over and over it, they spend it on somebody else. It actually has this long term, this warm glow of gibbing. It sustains itself. I'm optimistic that compassion like will sustain itself, and the compassion fatigue won't set in.
