The Importance of Genetic Differences
We assume when we use words that the other person knows exactly what we mean. But in fact, that never happens because we each have different internal lives. We drop into the world with half-baked brains and we absorb everything around us. Your experiences shape your nervous system and can feed all the way down to the level of which genes are getting expressed and which are suppressed. And by the way, you don't choose your genes and you don't choosing your childhood experiences. None of that is about choice, but it makes you who you are.
