Ukrainian cultural centre in London has become a social hub for people displaced from their home country. Estimates suggest that more than 8 million people, mainly women and girls, left Ukraine to escape the fighting. Natalia and her 14-year-old daughter Paulina grew up in London but they have extended family in Ukraine. 10-year-olds Maria fled from Kiev with her mother and Irina and her 13- year-old daughter Miro Slava recalled their experience of the invasion.
