Solana: A Modular Chain

Solana is making a very opinionated stance about how these two things connect and in a modular chain you're saying like oh you just like generally conform to something and we'll like make sure it goes together so Solana is saying no we will separate these. It's kind of the thesis between monolithic chains like okay well everything's going to do its best right. The prevailing view at this point is like if you want performance you're gonna have to have like heavy builders or some part of the block building process but you can still give security guarantees very cheaply through things like diet clients and light clients which is much more practical.
