In the book of Acts, two people lie about how much they got for their land. Peter basically curses them and they die; this is God's punishing them. In 1 Corinthians, Paul talks about a man who is sleeping with his stepmother. He urges them to hand him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh. That isn't at all like what you get portrayed of God elsewhere.
