"I practiced until my fingers were bleeding and I woke up many mornings in the bed beside me was my guitar," he says. "If I don't try, if I don't do this, I'm going to be sorry the rest of my life." The singer-songwriter left school at age 16 to join a rock and roll band with his father's group. He still plays music today as part of an ensemble called R&B/Hip Hop Kings.
