The Impact of Stop and Frisk on Gun Safety
There are studies on stop and frisk or non predicated interdictions. Some of them do find that they do reduce crime in the places that it's being applied. The question becomes like, is it worth the social costs that people seem to suffer from that kind of intervention? And there, my sense is that the evidence is basically says probably not.
