The Importance of Acceptance
Autism feels like you're an actor on a movie set except no one ever yells cut. You feel compelled to suppress, hide your true autistic self and as a result it feels like there's no you. Autism feels like you do not understand let alone get the basic human skills neurotypical people take for granted. Masking is another part of acceptance because if people don't believe you then they're not accepting you.
