The Clock of the Long Now
Deep time is something that I'd been thinking about for a while, even before I'd started this work. It's something that is beyond our physiological ability to process time into something that becomes abstract. Musician Brian Eno helped design the chimes for that clock, and he made a whole album inspired by them.
