I'm Not Sure That in the Faith and Philosophy Are Distinguishable
In some traditions they talk about sacred monotony, yes. What shows itself in religious people as reverence, shows itself in philosophical people as wonder. Every truly interesting philosophical system i've ever read about is ultimately a theology that has something to do with god and the realm of the transcendent. I think it's a very modern idea, a forced idea, not a natural one. And i am not sure that the distinction so often made between philosophy as being secular and rational, and religion as being, of course, transcendent and eritn are distinguishable.
