Is There a Perverse Incentive at Play With These Green Finance Games?
In Peru they had sold like you know hundreds of thousands of carbon credits from this forest. There's a kind of element of out of sight out of mind with these green finance games because the places in the world where they're gonna happen right are the places where nature needs this protection it's gonna be Indonesia, Brazil and Peru. No one wants to go find out that there's the guy on the other end of the carbon transaction is a Chinese gangster so I think that there's a sort of perverse incentive at play here. You don't even know what project they're linked to when you start buying and selling these tokens.
