Philip Morris: Asset managers have a conflict of interest in that they want to have as much assets under management as possible. Most funds always want to accept more client money, but the truth is there's not always investment opportunities,. A very successful investor who was 20 % over 12 or 13 years figured out a way around this by closing his fund off when he saw an opportunity and taking new clients' money instead. He says value investors can operate without limiting their percentage returns. The only way for them to do so is if they are nimble enough to shift between different companies at any given time.
