The most iconic image of the 1960s was George Lois's cover of Esquire depicting Ali. If you Google Muhammad Ali Esquire, you'll see the image immediately. And one of the things that I've learned about this is most imagery used in marketing is throw away bullshit seen at a thousand times clipart. So it's fascinating to me that George knew when to use a powerful image and when just to use the words.
