Part three of Inside the Yale Admissions Office's series on application essays. The small questions that Yale asks all of its applicants to respond to in addition to the larger parts of the application. We're going to describe our process for writing those questions because we as admissions officers get together every single year and try to decide what exactly we want to ask each applicant when they're putting together their applications.
