What Is the Soviet Passport?

The soviet passport is a document that doesn't actually allow you to pass through any port. To day, in modern russia, russians have two passports - one for internal purposes and another if they want to travel abroad. In europe, the internal passport faded away when the train system spread. The book takes us back before the bolshevik revolution of 19 17. It talks about how it became the most controlling document for all Russian citizens.
