The Lost Years' Turtles

The last years' sea turtles go offshore and remain offshore for a certain period of time. It's thought to be safer for them, offshore, away from coastal predators. They've been observed to associate with floating stargassum mats which may provide both shelter and food. But to prove that the turtles were doing this, Kate and her team had to tag them after they hatch - not an easy task.
