US-India Relationship - Is There a Geopolitical Alignment?

The US and India are much closer than they were 30 years ago. I don't think we're going to see a quote unquote new Cold War in Asia with these strict and rigid alignments that we saw in Europe, right, with the Warsaw Pact on one side and NATO on the other. So those are really thealignments that we see. But I do think there are a couple of issues to sort out, the US-India relationship would buy large, if not full blown allies to very close states that have as you say geopolitical reason to be allied when they both have a common threat like China.
