Image Recognition Algorithms Do Strange Things
Image recognition algarithms do all kinds of really strange things. They tend to see giraffes a lot, even when there are not any around. And so you may look at these and say, ok, is it being fooled kind of by this branch that looks kind of like a giraffe's neck? Or there's some kind of textures in there that's fooling it? But then you see pictures like this, the close up of two giraffes near a tree - otherwise known as the coat of arms of the house of savoy. Seems like a i might also have a thing about sheep.
