Xenophon and the Navark in the Battle of Byzantium

Xenophon tells how the Greek army tried to find a way out of the Black Sea. They decided that they should choose one commander, who would be able to lead them by night or day. The captains came to Xenophon and urged him to undertake the command. He says he was happy to do it; now his name is going to come up again.
