The prevailing myth that we read about all the time is that, oh, well, we couldn't possibly pay people better. So why do you think this myth is so pervasive? We have to pay people badly and treat them like Kleenex in order to run a productive enterprise,. You know, we just have a new paper that just got published in Organization Science. Well, congratulations. What you find is that you can maximize profits through a good job strategy or you could maximize profits via a bad job strategy. And there's a much better way to run a business. I think that's really inspiring.
