The Genetic Variation That Allows for Sickle Cell Anemia

Dogs were originally wolves. But as a result of the way they become domesticated, dogs and wolves are no longer exactly the same. And if you advance that out a hundred thousand years from now, dogs may be so distant from wolves genetically that they couldn't successfully breed with them. In the case of humans, we see this happening as well. One of the things that we have evidence for is increasing intelligence in human beings over the last several thousand years. So as one population gets smarter, if humans other populations get smarter it a rising tide floats all boats, as they say.
