Research is kind of a cure for, you know, having anything feel derivative or tropey or. So I really love the research and research doesn't have to be like just on your computer or in a library or microfiche. It can be traveling to the country meeting people having dinners and trying to learn the language. One of my favorites to get around dialogue tropes are two or three police officers who were of a certain age in Los Angeles talking about it. And I record with it.
