The Unifying Community of the Hours
The literature of the hours also has this unifying communal dimension today. It's the one prayer outside of the mass that can draw together all Christians from around the world. You're praying for people who can't pray for themselves or won't pray for yourself. And you're kind of exulting for them. That's, I think, a beautiful part of this prayer too.
