When you say divinity is the very substance of this universe, that's the poetic way of saying it would be paramdharma. The abode, the ultimate abode of all beings and everything is this divinity. In Bhishma, he praises Narayana Vishnu. Just by remembering Vishnu, just by remembering the Lord, a jiva who's caught in samsara is liberated from the cycle of birth and death. Remembering God means you're just remembering a concept or something that you have heard or believed or something. It's just the contact, even the thought.
