Police in cape town received an emergency call. The man on the other said he was calling from stallenbosh and that he needed their help. He said his entire family had been killed by an intruder with an axe. When police arrived, they found a young man standing in the street,. covered in blood, holding a mobile phone. They pointed at the house behind him and said, the problem is upstairs. And there certainly was a problem upstairs, because on the top floor of the house, the two attending officers found a scene that they would both go on to describe as the worst they'd ever encountered in their careers.
