William palmer was found guilty of poisoning his stepson cook in 1855. The post mortem examination at the hotel where he had died went horribly wrong. Palmer's wife, anne and brother walter were exhumed so that they could be a second coroner's inquest into their deaths. Anne Palmer's body was too badly decomposed to have been shown on TV but it was written up in the papers. WalterPalmer’s body was removed from the leaden coffin with nozzles for ventilation.
