The Differences Between a Quasar and a Quasar
We get many quasars, but they're all far away because nearby galaxies ate their gas. The nearest one is the Cygnus X-1 black hole, which is about a thousand light years away. But there could be galaxies that are quasars for some parts of the universe and not for others. And so we don't even have a galaxy that would have been one close to us.
