Is It a Good Idea to Support Enterponership and Social Enterprise in Africa?

Supporting tech, enterponership and social enterprises in africa has been a major focus of development funders for almost two decades now. But somehow we don't seem to have much to show for it in terms of scaling enterprises, big innovation shifts. So i think one compelling point here is that at the very least, we have seen a material portion of people gaining energy access over the last decade come from these distributed players. And so this needs to be hand in hand and not on either oar.
