General Purpose Intelligence

General purpose AI is where an AI is considered as intelligent as humans. You express concerns in our interview about humanity could handle that for a variety of reasons. But, as you mentioned, several companies have made an explicit aim to develop general purpose AI. Does that worry you in itself? Should they actually not be doing that, do you think?
